Frequenly Asked Questions
What’s the correct order to detail my car for the best results?
A: Detailing should follow a structured process to avoid damaging your paintwork and to get the best results. Here's the ideal step-by-step method:
1. Wheels, Tyres & Arches – Start from the Bottom Up
Why start here? Wheels and arches are typically the dirtiest part of the vehicle. Cleaning them first prevents splashing dirt onto a clean car later.
- Use our acid-free wheel cleaner to safely break down brake dust and grime without harming your wheels’ finish. This can not be used on bare metal, chrome, or untreated aluminium finishes, and our fallout should be used instead.
- Apply our fallout remover to dissolve embedded iron particles from the wheels.
- Spray APC (All-Purpose Cleaner) onto tyre walls and inside arches to break down old dressings, oils, and road grime. Agitate with a stiff brush and rinse thoroughly.
2. Pre-Wash & Snow Foam – Loosen Dirt Safely
Why pre-wash? This crucial step removes the bulk of dirt and grime before you make contact with your paint, helping to prevent swirl marks.
- Apply our citrus pre-wash to lower panels and other dirty areas to effectively lift road grime and organic matter.
- Follow with a blanket of our pH neutral snow foam. Let it dwell to soften and lift dirt before rinsing off thoroughly.
3. Contact Wash – The Double Bucket Method
Why two buckets? This method helps to minimise the risk of scratching your paint during the wash.
- Fill one bucket with soapy water using a quality car shampoo and the other with clean water for rinsing your mitt.
- Use a microfibre wash mitt to gently wash the car, working from top to bottom.
- Make sure to use grit guards to trap dirt at the bottom, keeping it away from your mitt and paintwork.
4. Polishing – Restore That Gloss
Why polish? Over time, paint can become dull or hazy due to fine scratches and oxidation.
- Polishing will restore gloss to your paintwork by refining the surface and reducing visible imperfections.
- It’s an effective way to bring back a shiny, smooth finish, and can be done by hand or machine, depending on tools and skill level.
- Our Light cutting / Finishing polish is the perfect tool for this, and can be used by hand or machine.
5. Protection – Lock In That Finish
Why protect? Adding a protective layer helps to repel dirt, water, and contaminants, keeping your car cleaner for longer.
- Apply our ceramic spray sealant to your paintwork for application, and top ups on maintenance washes.
- Or use on of our handmade wax pots to enhance gloss and add an additional layer of protection.

We also offer detailing services including deep cleans, paint correction, ceramic coatings, and wax protection. We also supply a premium line of detailing products, developed in-house, within the United Kingdom for both enthusiasts and professionals.
Are your detailing products safe to use on all wrapped and painted vehicles?
Yes, our products are safe to use on vinyl-wrapped cars, including gloss, satin, and matte wraps. However, we recommend avoiding harsher products like tar and glue removers, wheel cleaners, or fallout removers directly on the wrap. These products are designed for more robust surfaces (like bare paint or wheels) and may damage or stain delicate wrap finishes. For wrapped vehicles, it's best to stick to our pH-neutral snow foam, citrus pre-wash, and ceramic spray sealant for safe and effective cleaning and protection.
